Port St. Lucie Blvd

Project Summary

The existing 4-lane divided roadway utilizes an open swale drainage system. The proposed roadway section will be fully “urban” with curb and gutter, sidewalks, landscaping, irrigation, and roadway and pedestrian lighting. It will generally match the section currently under design by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), south of SW Darwin Blvd. Improvements are also being made to the PSL Blvd./ Gatlin Blvd. intersection. This project will “bridge the gap” between the two projects and provide for a consistent roadway section through the corridor.

Project Benefits

Completion of this project will eventually provide a consistent corridor from Gatlin Blvd. to Becker Road. This project will also increase pedestrian mobility as there will be a multi-use path constructed on both sides of the roadway as well as roadway and pedestrian lighting. Median and roadside landscaping will also be included to improve the overall aesthetics of the corridor.
